Coronavirus COVID-19 Information Summary - Tuesday 24th March
Following the ongoing developments with regard to the Coronavirus, I’d like to share an update on the measures Vinpac is taking, with our aim to limit people to people contact in line with current advice. As customers and suppliers sometimes visit numerous departments on-site or have been to numerous sites during the course of their day we are seeking to protect you, our team members and the communities in which we operate.
Social Distancing & Hygiene
At all times and in line with current Government advice please remain 1.5 metres or more away from others and please ensure you comply with all hygiene advice, as follows:
o washing or sanitizing your hands on arrival
o covering your coughs and sneezes with your elbow or a tissue
o disposing of tissues properly
o washing your hands often with soap and water, including before and after eating or smoking and after going to the toilet
o using alcohol-based hand sanitisers
o minimising physical contact at all times
For the immediate future to protect you, our team and to ensure continuity of production services, if you are in self-isolation, or have returned from interstate or abroad in the last 14 days please do not come to our work sites or premises – please contact your Account Manager should you wish to discuss.
Collection & Delivery – Good inwards
Please drive up to the good inwards entrance as normal, remain in your vehicle or at the required social distance of 1.5 metres from our team and other drivers, including in outdoor areas.
When directed please attend the lobby to complete the required paperwork and follow directions given by our team.
For our McLaren Vale site ONLY – Please stay in your vehicle and call Despatch on 8383 2212 Please advise the SO number that you are here to collect, a forklift driver will then bring the stock/items to your vehicle with paperwork to sign
Collection & Delivery – Reception
Please use the buzzer / camera intercom to speak to the receptionist on duty as the doors may be closed. Please proceed as instructed.
For our McLaren Vale site ONLY – please ring the number on the sign outside reception. For lab samples leave them in the tub outside and ring 8383 2204 to advise.
Bottling your product
We strongly encourage our customers not to visit our sites during their bottlings. This will help minimise the risk of passing on the virus to our staff and ultimately enable us to continue to operate and meet all our customer needs.
If you wish to visit to observe your job being bottled, we recommend using telecommunications/social media – we can provide you with some video footage of the bottling and on-line access to observe the bottling. We are also able to provide you with still photos of your finished product – please contact your Account Manager to discuss your requirements should this not meet your needs.
Tasting your product
If you would normally come to site to taste your wine we can provide samples which you can collect from site. These will be available to collect from outside reception with prior arrangements – please contact wine services on 08 8561 0677 to arrange.
We can also offer our winemaking services to undertake this determination for you – this is for our Angaston site only.
The Bottling Approval Form will be emailed to you as a PDF, in line with our current process, or in another electronic format. As many of our team are working from home we appreciate your understanding if delays may occur in the processing of records.
To sign off your wine you can use “Fill & Sign” functionality in Acrobat Reader; you can print, sign and then re-scan/photograph documentation and email; or we are happy in this current environment to accept verbal confirmation followed by an email confirming approval.
If you would like to undertake addition trials prior to bottling, and you do not have the capabilities to undertake this yourself, we offer you the availability of our winemaking service to undertake this determination for you (Angaston only). Please contact wine services on 08 8561 0677 to schedule this.
Should you have any queries please contact your Account Manager, wine services or customer services. We would like to refer you to our website and social media for any future updates and I’d like to thank you for your continued patience, help and understanding in keeping everyone safe during this challenging time for our country, our local communities and your business.
