Vinpac International has had a very exciting year with many changes and improvements. We thought with Christmas approaching, and the year coming to an end, it was a good opportunity to explore some of the achievements and good news stories for the year.

It has been a really exciting time for the company with the purchase of Prowine and Lisa Ashby, transitioning into a secondment position as General Manager for Vinpac International, Wine Services. David Hutton is championing the new integrated IT platform for Vinpac International, which has already been implemented successfully at Dorrien.  Simon Coombs has taken on the responsilibyt of the Vi Packaging sales function, combining the sales team across both Vinpac International and Vi Packaging.  We now have a dedicated Procurement Manager join the management team James Vallance. Garry Milhench has taken on a secondment role at Prowine which has helped with the successful transition of Prowine being part of the Wine Services group.

We are always looking at ways to make our customers lives easier. We were excited to launch our new “Learn” page last month on our website. It has all the information that our customers need to know, in one convenient spot.

Customer feedback is extremely important to us, so last month we sent out a customer survey with $20 donated to the Cancer Council for every survey completed. Not only did we raise $1,820 for such a worthy cause, but we also received some really useful feedback from customers on ways we can improve our services. In 2019 we will be focusing on communication, our timeliness, quality, friendliness, training and ways we can make visiting our site easy but secure.

Improvements to our sites have included our new Lobby and security gates for trucks coming into Vinpac International. A new lunch room for employees, a new filler at our McLaren Vale site and new gallery chemistry analysers in the laboratories at both sites.

We have also had a strong focus on the environment by implementing an Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015 Style) which will help us monitor, assess, plan and improve our environmental performance. We have already introduce reusable ceramic coffee mugs rather than having disposable cups on site and have some exciting environmental initiatives planned for 2019.

We can’t wait to share with you some of the projects we have in place for 2019. We hope our valued customers and supplier have a safe and happy holidays and look forward to working with you all again in the New Year.
